474 Redoubt Road Subdivision, Flatbush

Project Progress

Client: Murphy’s Developments Ltd
Location: Flatbush, Auckland

The site is 22.9ha in size and is located at 474 Redoubt Road and 125 Murphy’s road, Flatbush. It was operated as a farm lifestyle block, therefore was predominately covered in pasture with pockets of native bush mostly located in gully areas
The project required the site to be subdivided into 40 Lots ranging from 1050m2-9000m2 each

The site topography range from rolling to steep, there were several steep gullies with ridgelines that provided access to the top and bottom. The underlying soil was generally soft clays.
The roads, accessways and Lots were in areas that required geotechnical stability. A mix of palisade retaining walls, geotechnical underfill drainage (counterfort drains) and buttressed fills were required to ensure inherent stability for these components of the project.
